For the new Shopify One Page Checkout, the Yagi Express Payment Hider app has a limitation which it can only show both PayPal express button at the top and the PayPal option at the bottom payment method list, or hide both. The app is unable to only hide the top PayPal express button due to technical limitation, sorry about this.

But!

As a workaround, You can create a manual payment method named "PayPal" as a placeholder (not the real PayPal), so that when customer first open the One Page Checkout, they will still see the placeholder "PayPal" method, you can see this demo video.

Go to your store settings > Payment

Create a manual payment method

Ensure the payment method name is "PayPal" (two P is capitalized)

If you decide to uninstall the Yagi Express Payment Hider app, please make sure to deactivate / remove the manual payment method "PayPal" first before uninstalling the app. Else the customer will be able to place an order using this manual payment method (which is not the real PayPal).

To deactivate it, kindly go to your store Settings > Payment > Manual Payment method,

click the "Manage" link beside "PayPal" , and click "Deactivate"
