Setting up Shopify Payments for POS
Shopify Payments is the simplest way to accept payments on Shopify POS. It eliminates the hassle of setting up a third-party payment provider or merchant account and having to enter the credentials in manually. After you set up Shopify Payments in your Shopify admin, your customers can make payment card payments in your store with Shopify POS and a supported card reader.

Requirements for activating Shopify Payments in Shopify POS
Before you can activate Shopify Payments in Shopify POS, you must meet the following requirements:
- Your store is in a supported country to set up Shopify payments and meets the bank account requirements for your country.
- Your store is eligible to set up Shopfiy Payments.
- You've set up Shopify Payments in your Shopify admin.
- You've secured your account by setting up two-step authentication.
Supported countries and regions
Only countries where Shopify Payments supports both online and in-person processing are available. Use the following list to find out if Shopify Payments is available to use with Shopify POS in the country where your business operates:
- Australia
- Belgium
- Canada
- Czech Republic
- Denmark
- Finland
- France
- Germany
- Ireland
- Italy
- Luxembourg
- Netherlands
- New Zealand
- Singapore
- Spain
- Switzerland
- United Kingdom
- United States (Shopify Payments isn't available to US territories except Puerto Rico)
Activate Shopify Payments in Shopify POS
If you've set up Shopify Payments for your store, then you can activate it in Shopify POS and accept payment card payments in person.
Steps:
- From Shopify POS, tap
> Settings > Payments.
- Confirm that the Credit/debit option is activated.
If you change banks or if your bank account details change, then you can edit your bank account information in your Shopify admin.
