Logging in to your Shopify account

You can access your Shopify account securely across many devices. Protect your account with a secure sign-in method such as a passkey or two-step authentication. If your store's .myshopify.com URL is requested, then you must provide the original .myshopify.com URL, even if the store has a custom domain or you customized your store's .myshopify.com URL after creating your account.

Logging in and switching stores

You can log in to your Shopify account through your desktop browser or the Shopify mobile app. You can also use external login services such as Apple, Facebook, Google, or WhatsApp. If you manage multiple stores, then you can set up a Shopify ID for single login access and switch between stores quickly.

Securing your account

You can set up a secure sign-in method such as a passkey or two-step authentication. Passkeys let you log in with your face, fingerprint, PIN, or screen lock. Two-step authentication adds an extra verification step when you sign in, such as an authenticator app or SMS code. A secure sign-in method might be required if your organization enforces one or if you have access to certain financial products.

Troubleshooting and recovery

If you forget your password, then you can reset it from the login page or your account settings. You might be asked to complete identity verification to confirm your account details and protect against impersonation or account takeovers. If you have other trouble signing in, then refer to troubleshooting login.
