Customize your printed POS receipts

You can use the POS editor in your Shopify admin to customize the templates for your printed receipts and choose how many receipts to print by default. Personalized receipts can feel more professional and informative, and can enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency for your business.

The POS editor customizes only your printed receipts. To edit your email and SMS receipts for POS, go to Settings > Notifications > Customer notifications > POS and mobile receipt in your Shopify admin.

The POS editor includes the following features to customize your printed receipts:

• The visual editor is the default editor for customizing printed receipts and is available on all Shopify POS subscription plans. It uses built-in customization options, such as toggles, text fields, and image uploads, so that you can customize your receipts without writing code. For more advanced customizations, you can add custom Liquid blocks to the header and footer.
• The code editor lets Shopify POS Pro locations customize receipts with code.
