Making payments for your Shopify bills

To pay your Shopify bills, you have several payment methods available based on your region. If you need to change your payment method or any other billing information, then refer to Managing payment methods for your Shopify bills.

There are different types of bills that you can pay directly through your Shopify admin, and each type of bill can have the following different payment options:

  • Payment options for general bills: For general Shopify bills, such as paying for your subscription plan, you have multiple payment methods to choose from. These include credit cards, co-branded debit cards, Shopify Balance, PayPal, Automated Clearing House (ACH) debits for eligible United States-based stores, Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) direct debit for stores based in Denmark, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, or Switzerland that are on plans other than Plus, and UPI billing for India.
  • Handling shipping label billing: When you purchase shipping labels or adjust the price of labels, the charges are applied to the credit card registered with your Shopify account. The cost of shipping labels is displayed in your local currency before taxes, such as EUR in France or GBP in the United Kingdom. After you buy a shipping label, the cost and the taxes are billed to you through your Shopify account. You pay your bill in the currency that you have set up for your billing. The invoicing for shipping labels operates on a threshold billing system. Learn more about shipping label billing and shipping label charges.
